Vikram is a 2022 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. It is produced by Kamal Haasan, who plays the lead role, with Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil, Narayan and Kalidas Jayaram in supporting roles. Surya makes a guest appearance. It is a spiritual successor to the 1986 film of the same name and the second installment of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe.

Vikram Story
Former RAW agent Vikram (Kamal Haasan) comes out of retirement with the mission of busting a drug syndicate and solving the growing drug problem in India. The film is a spiritual sequel to the 1986 film of the same name, which also starred Haasan. When Karnan (Kamal Haasan) discovers that his son is one of the gang’s victims, he sets out on a journey of revenge.
It begins as an act of vengeance and evolves into a mission under the direction of Karnan, who is much later introduced as Vikram. Amar (Fahadh Faasil), the team leader of police personnel brought in by police chief Jose (Chemban Vinod), begins to look into Karnan’s life.
The prime suspect in this entire crime is Sandhanam (Vijay Sethupathi), a ruthless drug lord who is in search of the cargo that will make him the mafia king. Unsurprisingly, a lot is going on in the city, and the police are determined to find out what’s going on.
The film is strongest in the early acts. Kamal Haasan is a visual treat in this action thriller. It is incredibly exciting for the audience and his supporters to see him again on TV. From where he left off in Master, Vijay Sethupathi seems to be moving forward. He plays a cunning villain and he is completely adept in the role. In practically every situation, he was horrified.
