Sita Ramam is a 2022 Indian Telugu-language romantic drama film directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. Produced under the banner of Vyjayanti Movies and Swapna Cinema, the film stars Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles, while Rashmika Mandanna, Sumanth, Sachin Khedekar, Jisshu Sengupta, Murali Sharma and others play pivotal roles.
Set in 1964, it tells the story of Lieutenant Ram, an orphan army officer serving on the Kashmir border, who receives anonymous love letters from Sita Mahalakshmi, after which Ram is on a mission to find Sita and propose his love. Principal photography began in April 2021 and concluded in April 2022 with filming in Hyderabad, Kashmir, and Russia. The music of the film was composed by Vishal Chandrashekhar and the cinematography was by P.S. It was created by Vinod and Shreyas Krishna.

Dulquer Salmaan and his innocence keep getting better and better. There are very few actors who retain their innocence and can bring it out with ease. He’s one of them. There is faith in both love and war.
Mrunal Thakur enters the film as another character who could be the catalyst for the hero’s journey, but she proves everyone wrong along with the makers. This is where the story takes shape. In her well-thought-out dramatic performance, Thakur proved that she could do it too.
