Laal Singh Chaddha is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film directed by Advait Chandan and written by Atul Kulkarni. Produced by Paramount Pictures, Aamir Khan Productions, and Viacom18 Studios, the film is a remake of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump, an adaptation of Winston Groom’s novel of the same name. The film stars Aamir Khan in the lead role, alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Naga Chaitanya (her Hindi film debut), and Mona Singh.
Got a chance to see it over the weekend and it was a good movie with some emotional scenes. Aamir Khan did a good job and gave a great performance, although I felt that his Punjabi accent needed a little brushing up as it seemed forced and not polished to an extent, but overall his performance in the film The performances were good and keep you entertained, Kareena Kapoor was excellent,
I must say! Her emotional scenes were top-notch, her expressions, dialogue delivery everything was perfect and one cannot say that after her maternity leave, she forgot how to act, she looked very beautiful in the film and gave an excellent performance, Mona Singh played the role of Lal’s mother perfectly. She fits the role and her performance is also very good, her motherly chemistry with Aamir is well-created and directed, the other actors have also done a good job.
Talking about the negatives I felt that the script was very slow and the extremely long duration spoiled the mood of the film as it requires one to be patient and sit through the entire film, I felt that It definitely could have been cut down by at least 25 minutes. It wasn’t as bad as the negativity it received when it was released in theatres, at least it’s worth a watch for its very sweet romance and some entertaining parts. For me, the romantic part between Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor was really good and pleasing to the eyes because your chemistry was also good. Overall Laal Singh Chaddha was a good, one-time watch family movie.
