Salaar is an Indian Telugu-language epic action film written and directed by Prashant Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur. It stars Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran with a supporting cast including Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Tinu Anand, Easwari Rao, Shriya Reddy and Ramachandra Raju.
Based in the fictional dystopian city-state of Khansar, the film tells the story of the friendship between a tribal Deva (Prabhas) and Vardha (Prithviraj), the prince of Khansar. When a coup is planned by her father’s ministers and his relatives, Varadha seeks Dev’s help to become the undisputed ruler of Khansar.

The world of Khansaar created by Prashant Neel is difficult to understand because it is a world in which there are no rules and only violence, it is a separate universe of gangsters separate from the rest of the world. Bhuvan Gowda’s cinematography is amazing as it shows the backgrounds and settings in a naturally dark color palette in contrast to the violence and bloodshed.
Good editing by Ujwal Kulkarni and great songs and background music by Ravi Basrur. The entire team including Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Easwari Rao, Saran Shakti, Shriya Reddy, Jagapathi Babu, Ramachandra Raju, Tinu Anand, Abhinay Raj Singh, Madhu Guruswamy, Jackie Mishra, Panju, Jhansi, Bhajrangi Loki performed brilliantly.
Naveen Singh and Shrey Bhargava. A great film about how a good friendship between two friends turns into rivalry and enmity in the violent world of gangsters. A great movie worth watching for everyone in general and especially for movie fans looking for mass-action entertainers.
